2–2.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
1 cup BBQ sauce
½ cup zesty Italian dressing
¼ cup brown sugar
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
Optional: ¼ tsp red pepper flakes
Place chicken in the bottom of a slow cooker.
In a bowl, whisk BBQ sauce, dressing, brown sugar, Worcestershire, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes (if using).
Pour sauce over chicken and cover.
Cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours.
Shred chicken with forks and stir into the sauce. Optional: cook uncovered for 15–20 minutes to thicken.
Use sugar-free BBQ sauce for low-carb version. Add pineapple or hot sauce for variations. Leftovers freeze well for up to 3 months.
