Zesty BBQ Chicken made easy in the slow cooker with tangy Italian dressing, sweet brown sugar, and smoky barbecue sauce. Perfectly shredded and packed with flavor — ideal for sandwiches, bowls, and more.

Ingredients

  • 22.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs

  • 1 cup BBQ sauce

  • ½ cup zesty Italian dressing

  • ¼ cup brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • Optional: ¼ tsp red pepper flakes

Instructions

  • Place chicken in the bottom of a slow cooker.

  • In a bowl, whisk BBQ sauce, dressing, brown sugar, Worcestershire, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes (if using).

  • Pour sauce over chicken and cover.

  • Cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours.

  • Shred chicken with forks and stir into the sauce. Optional: cook uncovered for 15–20 minutes to thicken.

Notes

Use sugar-free BBQ sauce for low-carb version. Add pineapple or hot sauce for variations. Leftovers freeze well for up to 3 months.
