This Slow Cooker Garlic Butter Chicken is tender, juicy, and infused with rich garlic-herb flavor. A simple, savory dish perfect for busy weeknights or elegant dinners.

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs (or breasts)

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter

  • 68 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1/4 cup chicken broth or white wine

  • 1 tsp dried thyme (or 1 tbsp fresh)

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (optional)

  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  • Optional: Sear chicken in a skillet with a bit of butter for golden edges.

  • Place chicken in slow cooker. Season with salt, pepper, and thyme.

  • In a small saucepan, melt butter. Stir in garlic and broth. Pour over chicken.

  • Cover and cook on low for 4–6 hours or high for 2.5–3.5 hours.

  • Stir in cream (if using) during the last 30 minutes.

  • Garnish with parsley and serve with garlic butter sauce spooned on top.
