PrintA fast, homemade beef and broccoli stir-fry with bold flavor, tender meat, crisp veggies, and a savory sauce. A takeout classic made simple in 30 minutes.
1 lb flank steak, sliced thin against the grain
3 cups broccoli florets
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
2 tbsp neutral oil (canola, avocado)
1 tbsp soy sauce (for marinating)
1 tsp cornstarch (for marinating)
1 tsp sesame oil, divided
Sauce:
1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch
1/2 cup water
1 tsp sesame oil
Combine beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Marinate 10–15 minutes.
Blanch broccoli for 1 minute in boiling water. Rinse under cold water.
Mix all sauce ingredients in a bowl.
Heat oil in skillet. Sear beef in batches until browned. Remove from pan.
Add garlic and ginger. Cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
Return beef and broccoli. Add sauce and stir-fry 2–3 minutes until thickened.
Drizzle with sesame oil and serve.
