PrintA rich and savory skillet dish made with browned Italian sausage and a garlic-infused Parmesan cream sauce. Perfect over pasta, potatoes, or low-carb sides.
1 lb Italian sausage (sweet or spicy)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup white wine or chicken broth (optional)
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Optional: 1 cup baby spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, chili flakes
Brown sausage in a large skillet over medium heat. Break into crumbles and cook until fully browned. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, sauté onion for 3–4 minutes. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds more.
Deglaze with wine or broth, scraping the pan. Simmer for 1–2 minutes.
Lower heat, add cream. Simmer 3–5 minutes, then stir in Parmesan.
Return sausage to skillet. Simmer 2–3 more minutes to combine.
Add optional extras (spinach, tomatoes) and stir until wilted.
Serve hot with pasta, potatoes, or vegetables.
Use turkey sausage for a leaner version.
Add pasta water to thin the sauce and improve cling.
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
