2½ cups cooked shredded chicken
1 cup barbecue sauce
⅓ cup ranch dressing or 2 tbsp ranch seasoning
½ cup sour cream or cream cheese

2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
1 (28 oz) bag frozen tater tots
Chopped green onions or parsley for garnish (optional)
Preheat oven to 400°F.
If using, sauté onion and garlic in a greased oven-safe skillet for 3–4 minutes.
Stir in chicken, barbecue sauce, ranch, and sour cream. Heat through.
Add 1 cup of shredded cheese and stir until melted.
Arrange frozen tater tots evenly over the top.
Bake for 30–35 minutes until tots are crispy and filling is bubbling.
Sprinkle remaining cheese on top during the final 5 minutes, if desired.
